GRAPEVINE ROUTE

• I-5 North
• Keep LEFT to take CA-99 N via EXIT 221 toward BAKERSFIELD / FRESNO
• Exit CA-178E. Continue to follow CA-178 E
• Take the CA-155 exit- EXIT 43- toward LAKE ISABELLA / KERNVILLE
• Turn LEFT onto CA-155 W / KERNVILLE RD. Continue to follow CA-155 W.
• CA-155 W becomes BURLANDO RD.
• Turn LEFT onto SIERRA WAY / CR-521.
• SIERRA WAY / CR-521 becomes MOUNTAIN 99 RD
• MOUNTAIN 99 RD becomes KERN RIVER HWY / MOUNTAIN ROAD 99.

How to Find the Campground (for first-timers)

The Camp is about 1 mile South of Fairview (Johnny McNally’s Fairview Lodge). The easiest way to find it is to go to Fairview then backtracks. There is a sign for Calkin’s Flats, the name of our camp, but sometimes you can’t see it. From Fairview, go South past the fake cow trap (black and white painted lines on the road, between two grates like fences) as you finish your turn to the left the campground will be on the right. It’s on the left when going north. Look for cars of Delta Chi’s you know.
